After years of study, research and working in the health and beauty industry I have been inspired to share my knowledge and experience via be naturallyou, in the hope that it will help inspire a more naturally beautiful you.
In a world with so much conflicting information, advertising everywhere we turn, and a large number of brands concerned more with profit return than the long-term health of their customers, it’s no surprise that you may be a little misled and confused about what beauty products to use, what foods to consume, and how best to improve your natural beauty.
I hope to clear a lot of the confusion by providing straight-forward, factual information, including:
~ a list of cosmetic ingredients to avoid and why
~ a directory of natural ingredients that help to promote beautiful skin
~ an extensive listing of genuine natural and organic beauty brands
~ the foods to consume to help promote clean, clear beautiful skin
~ lifestyle choices to help bring about the natural sparkle in your eyes
~ lifestyle choices to help de-stress, and therefore invite more smiles and laughter to your day

oh and if you’re interested in who I am personally, and what stepping stones I have walked on that have brought me to the one in which inspired me to create be naturallyou here goes…
I am holistic nutritionist. I choose to be vegan. I am an optimist. I have a consuming love for the beach, countryside and nature. I am wholeheartedly in love with dogs. I am also crazy in love with cats and horses. I studied make-up artistry, skin care and image training. I also studied to be a personal trainer and holistic nutritionist. No matter what time of day it is, you’ll always find me sipping on a cup of herbal tea. I am constantly amazed at the healing powers of essential oils both physically and emotionally. I love to practice Zen Ki yoga and Tracy Anderson dance cardio. I am forever grateful for the lovely emails that I receive from people who have been “touched” by my brand, Be Genki. I love to travel, anywhere and everywhere. I think massage is a necessity not a luxury. My family means everything to me. You could play the drums in my bedroom whilst I’m sleeping and I wouldn’t wake up. I loved doing that Vipassana meditation retreat of 10-days silence and meditation so much that I went back again and again. Many years ago I use to party til dawn and was fortunate to learn the tough but valuable lesson at a very young age that excessive consumption of alcohol is merely a tool for escapism. I think its more fun creating my life as a happy and healthy adventure as opposed to escaping from it. I love to cook. I love giving and receiving energy work. I make a seriously kick-ass healthy and yummy smoothie. I spend a huge portion of my days researching and have an unquenchable thirst for educating myself moreso. I wish I could sing like KD Lang. I don’t understand how or when humans got to the point where we stopped caring for mother earth and when I hear about an oil spill in our oceans or see someone throwing a cigarette butt in the gutter it hurts every living cell of my body, but I also truly believe that it’s not too late for the world to change. I am profoundly inspired by the talent, enthusiasm and initiative of younger generations. I am also deeply inspired by my grandmothers, the most gracious women I have ever known. I love to garden, although I’m not that good at it. I feel naked without painted toenails.
