5 minutes with natural beauty, Amy Crawford

I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT … my warm glass of filtered water, raw apple cider vinegar and fresh lemon juice, every single morning. It’s one of those habits that has become so engrained I don’t even think about it. Apple cider vinegar has a wealth of healing benefits – it’s alkalizing, it aids digestion, can help regulate blood pressure and is a great detoxifier, amongst other things.

I RELAX BY … walking. I walk a lot every day – an hour every morning as soon as I get up, a walk in the middle of the day (often to grab fresh produce for dinner) and at the end of the day it’s what I do to signal ‘pens down.’ When I walk I am never ‘plugged in’. I love the early morning quiet, spending most of my walk just noticing my surrounds, being present. It appears that I have a very spoilt dog 😉

I LIKE TO … do something for someone else, without any expectation in return, at least once a week. Dropping biscuits on a doorstep, sending a girlfriend a postcard to tell them I think they’re amazing, paying forward a coffee to a stranger. The more we give the more we receive – it’s all about the inward and outward flow.

I THINK BEAUTY IS … the natural radiant glow that comes from our hearts when we are living our truth and being us wholeheartedly; it’s often an indescribable energy emanating from a person exuding confidence and happiness in their own skin.

MY FAVOURITE BEAUTY TREATMENT THAT LEAVES ME LOOKING AND FEELING NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL IS … a full dry body scrub followed by a cool shower, 30 minutes in my Far-infrared sauna and another even cooler shower. This leaves my skin glowing all over and works wonders for my energy.

MY NUMBER ONE BEAUTY TIP IS … water! Drink it, lots of it! If I’m regularly drinking a couple of litres a day my skin always looks fresh and dewy. That and raw green juices and smoothies – I swear if I go a few days without one my glow fades!

WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PEARL OF WISDOM THAT YOU WISH YOU COULD BROADCAST TO THE WORLD? I am not about to reinvent the wheel here but here goes – simplify your diet. As far as possible buy whole foods and eat as nature intended it. Whole foods don’t come with numbers on the back of a packet that we don’t understand. They don’t come with hidden additives, chemicals and a low nutrient value as a result of over processing. Feed your body the goodness it deserves. Our bodies are constantly trying to reach a state of equilibrium and they do that with proper nourishment.

WHAT IS IT INSPIRES YOU TO DO WHAT YOU DO? There are many things that inspire me on a daily basis but the most significant would be the emails I received from clients who have experienced a life transformational CTC session with me – these just blow my mind. CTC (Combined Therapy Cocktail) is a two hour face to face or Skype treatment that frees you of anything holding you back from feeling amazing – fears, limiting beliefs, negative emotions, addictions, you name it. It is ultimately what freed me from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome just 2.5 years ago. As humans we’ve been conditioned to believe that if we’ve being carrying ‘crap’ around for 10, 20, 30 years there’d have to be a complicated solution. But it’s not at all complicated; we just have to change the way we look at things.

AmyCrawford2When chronic fatigue syndrome put a swift end to a million-mile-an-hour corporate career, it also created the most incredible life transformation imaginable. Now free of CFS, Amy credits her return to health to a whole food, sugar/toxic free lifestyle combined with extensive energy healing and a range of therapies called CTC (Combined Therapy Cocktail) of which she is now a practitioner.
