Hands down, this is one of my favourite snacks. It is the perfect starter or addition to any meal. It’s quick and easy to make, and packs a powerful punch with good fats that help promote a happy, healthy and oh-so-beautiful body, mind and complexion.

Ingredients
1 ripe organic avocado
1 tablespoon Udo’s 3 • 6 • 9 Oil Blend® or certified-organic virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon ground LSA (linseed, sunflower seed and almond)
1 pinch of sea salt or himalayan pink salt
** use organic and biodynamic ingredients where possible **

Cut the avocado in to bite sized pieces. Coat in oil. Cover with the LSA. Sprinkle a little salt on top. Yes, it might be a little messy at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a much easier process. Enjoy!

NUTRITION NOTES: LSA

LSA is a blend of ground linseed (flax), sunflower seeds and almonds and packs a healthy punch of essential fatty acids as well as being a great source of fibre, protein, vitamins and minerals. It also contains a good source of lignans, which have a powerful immune boosting effect and act as plant estrogens to balance hormonal fluctuations.

Whilst it might be tempting to purchase already ground LSA from the health food store or supermarket, I strongly recommend that you resist this temptation. LSA can oxidise quickly, resulting in the good oils going rancid, and you never can be too sure just how long that packet of LSA has been sitting on the shelves. Much better to grind your own LSA from organic linseeds, sunflower seeds and almonds fresh each time you’d like to eat it. You can grind enough for a week’s worth of eating and store it in an airtight container in your refrigerator for optimum freshness throughout the week. A simple coffee/spice grinder will do the trick.
