It’s easy to assume that a face mist is just a fancy spritz of water to freshen up during the day, but for us skincare enthusiasts in-the-know, a face mist is one of the most versatile and underrated products on the market, and is one step in the skin care ritual that would never be skipped. A quick spritz every day, morning and night, after cleansing the skin is a must.
Why? Face mists provide the necessary function of hydration. Especially those that contain organic hydrosols (i.e. plant ‘water’) as a base. A quick spritz before applying your serum, beauty oil and/or moisturiser boosts the absorption of these nourishing products, as well as helping to prevent sensitivity reactions. A quick spritz after applying makeup is also a handy little trick, as it helps remove that ‘powdery’ finish and gives a more natural look.
If you’re not a face mist lover, or have been disappointed in the past, then I strongly encourage you to try any one from the brands that we stock. The number of emails that we receive from customers who are face-mist-converts after using one of ours, is countless. The benefits are far too favourable to skip the spritz.
What is a face mist
A face mist (also called a toner) provides much needed hydration in today’s modern world, and wonderful benefits for the skin and complexion with water soluble actives that address certain skin concerns.
Who should use a face mist
Everyone, irrespective of your age or skin concern.
How to use a face mist
Spritz a mist over your face after cleansing, when your skin is clean. Follow with a serum and / or face oil and / or moisturiser.
Face Mists are also brilliant for spritzing lightly over makeup. It helps to give a more dewy fresh and natural look after makeup application.
You can also spritz a face mist throughout the day as desired to freshen your complexion and perk up tired looking skin.

Our brandand product selection is based on thorough research, based on 20+ years of industry experience. If we are not 100% convinced that an ingredient is safe, we won’t stock the product. ‘Natural’ and ‘organic’ products and online shops are becoming more prevalent these days. Whilst this is great, it also is rather confusing, as many ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ brands out there contain toxic and harmful ingredients that sound ‘natural’ or ‘naturally-derived’ but are indeed irritating to the skin and internal organs. If you are unsure about any ingredient, product or brand, please don’t hesitate to get in touch in the comment box below.
