For years I had been searching the world for a natural nail polish remover that actually works at removing the nail varnish. Yes, they are hard to track down, aren’t they! Some are lovely with the ingredient list, but when it comes to removing the lacquer they just don’t cut the mustard. So when I first tried the Fresh Therapies Natural Nail Polish Remover I did a little hop, skip and jump for joy. The search was over. Instead of drying out your nails (like most conventional ones do), it actually moisturises the nail and surrounding cuticle. It is formulated with biodegradable food grade and plant-based ingredients that are non toxic and non-carcinogenic, making it safe for children and pregnant women. Free from artificial acetones, it is also suitable for vegans and has not been tested on animals. Ticks ALL the boxes. So, as you can imagine, I couldn’t wait to meet the woman who created this must-have natural alternative.

1405freshtherapies-award2Your FRESH THERAPIES NAIL POLISH REMOVER has been winning some impressive awards since you launched the product. What has been your proudest moment with the brand?
Winning the Gold Award at Olympia in London at our first exhibition during The Allergy Show.  This opened the door to the vegan community. Our customers in this sector has really grown since 2012.

I also notice that you were awarded the Blue Buterfly logo – a mark of positive living. What environmental practices are most important to you?
Oh that’s a tricky one.  They are all so important. My family says that my mantra is “Don’t throw that away”.  I am really for re-use over recycle. Having to throw things away drives me crazy!  Packaging, paper, clothes anything, there must be a second use for it at least. Also the non-testing on animals is high up there too with the no chemicals.

What is the benefit of using your FRESH THERAPIES NAIL POLISH REMOVER?
Well the first one you notice is the smell.  There is no horrible chemical smell lingering around the room. Then there’s the lack of chemicals, aggressive alcohols, making my product less damaging to your nails and cuticles.  So it’s not stripping your nails of their natural oil. Due to it’s oily content it’s more nourishing for your nails.

What are your top tips for beautiful looking nails?
I think this has to be always wear gloves in harsh weather conditions and nourish your nails with oil or cream as often as you can throughout the day.  You’ll be surprised how simple daily tasks impact the nail condition.

What is your number one beauty tip?
Fresh fruit and vegetables on a daily basis. I never really ate sweets when I was a child, I would prefer to buy fruit instead of gum or crisp. I would also drink the water the vegetables were cooked in. I never really had any spots as a teenager and I would say my skin is pretty good for my age (that’s a secret).
