5 minutes with natural beauty, Shiva Rose
ACTRESS, WRITER, ACTIVIST AND MOTHER.
I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT … my two daughters Colette Blu and Charlotte Rumi. I also can’t live without a connection to the trees, mountains and sea.
I RELAX BY … taking a bath, drinking my roobois tea with almond milk and raw honey. I also relax by working in my organic garden where I try to supply my girls and I with fresh produce.
I LIKE TO … connect with my girl friends, read books on every subject, discover vintage treasures, work on my web site, help out at my theater company, cook for friends.
I THINK BEAUTY IS … courage, compassion, not trying too hard, being as natural as you can, being kind to our great mother.
MY FRIDGE USUALLY CONTAINS … raw milk, raw yogurt, raw cheese, raw almond butter, Mylkman almond milk, produce from my garden, some sweet coconut dessert.
MY EXERCISE ROUTINE IS … also part of my meditation which includes a daily walk up in the Santa Monica Mountains behind my house.
MY FAVOURITE BEAUTY TREATMENT THAT LEAVES ME LOOKING AND FEELING NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL IS … always slathering on some kind of all natural, organic skin care line (see The Local Rose) or coconut oil. Coconut or neem oil for my hair. eating lots of avocados with olive oil, and getting enough sleep.
MY NUMBER ONE BEAUTY TIP IS … to release resentment, don’t go in the sun without a non toxic sunscreen, get enough healthy fats, and lots of laughter.
