Without a doubt the best all-natural remedy for helping to ease the symptoms of the dreaded head cold, putting that spring back in your step by the morning. Yes, it may be a little garlicky on the breath, but a good excuse to stay rested indoors curled up on the couch relaxing and slowly sipping on the tea, whilst reading a good book, to give the body an opportunity to regain strength and vitality.
1 litre purified water
juice of two lemons
1 large piece of ginger, two times the size of your thumb, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic*, finely chopped
** use organic and biodynamic ingredients where possible **
Boil water. Pour in to a tea pot and allow to cool a little so that it is a warm/hot temperature. Add the lemon juice, ginger and garlic to the water. Place the lid on the tea pot and allow to infuse for at least 10 minutes. Strain in to a cup and sip the entire litre of tea throughout the afternoon.
*Please note that it is very important to choose and use organic garlic always!
