Babo Botanicals makes sunscreen that is gentle enough for newborns, yet effective enough to protect everyone in the family. And unlike other zinc oxide sunscreens that remain sticky and white even after applying, their proprietary blend is non-greasy and it goes on clear. Hallelujah!
Babo Botanicals zinc oxide sunscreens are also packed with natural and organic ingredients – such as shea butter, calendula extract and rosehip, jojoba and avocado oils – that nourish and moisturise the skin, making it one of our favourite sunscreens that is effective for protection against both the sun’s rays, and from wind-chapped skin.
Who is Babo Botanicals suitable for?
Sensitive-skin specialists, and made specifically with babies and young children in mind, Babo Botanicals is suitable for everyone who is looking for effective sun protection, whether you are oh so delicate and sensitive or not.
What we love most about Babo Botanicals
The sun protective ingredient contained in Babo Botanicals sunscreens is zinc oxide, which reflects UVA and UVB rays, as opposed to absorbing them (as other sunscreen ingredients do). Zinc oxide is the number one ingredient to look for in a sunscreen.
Furthermore, when choosing a sunscreen it’s best to avoid those that contain synthetic fragrances, oxybenzone, PABA, parabens, methylisothiazolinone, salicylates, mineral oil, TEA, DEA, MEA, propylene/butylene glycol, as these ingredients are linked to dryness of the skin, allergic dermatitis, photosensitivity, cancer, skin ageing, acne and other not so pleasant skin conditions. Naturally, Babo Botanicals is free from all of these irritating toxic ingredients.
Babo Botanicals gives us effective protection, without the nasties, and with a clear-finish application. What’s not to love?!

HAVE YOU TRIED BABO BOTANICALS? WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE PRODUCT FROM THE COLLECTION?
Our brand and product selection is based on thorough research, based on 20+ years of industry experience. If we are not certain that an ingredient is safe and effective at bringing about desired results, we won’t stock the product. ‘Natural’ and ‘organic’ products and online shops are becoming more prevalent these days. Whilst this is great, it also is rather confusing, as many ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ brands out there contain toxic ingredients that sound ‘natural’ or ‘naturally-derived’ but are indeed irritating to the skin and internal organs. If you are unsure about any ingredient, product or brand, please don’t hesitate to get in touch in the comment box below.
